AGENTOS DOCS / USING AGENTOS

Credentials

Save a secret once and AgentOS uses it when it needs to, so you don't have to paste passwords and API keys into prompts.

Saving credentials

Save my GitHub personal access token as a credential called "github-token".
Save my database connection string as "db-connection".

Or use the command:

/credentials list stored credentials (password-protected)
/credentials add add one interactively
/credentials remove <name> delete one
/credentials set-password set or remove the workspace password

Where they're stored

FileScope
.agentos/CREDENTIALS.mdThis workspace only
~/.agentos/CREDENTIALS.mdShared across all workspaces

Credentials are encrypted at rest. Set a workspace password to require it before credentials can be listed.

Using them

The agent picks up matching credentials automatically, for example when it automates a login or makes an authenticated API call:

Log into the admin panel at http://localhost:9999/login using my saved credentials,
then add a new user: Jane Doe, jane@example.com.
// CONNECTORS ARE DIFFERENT Accounts such as Gmail, Google Drive, Jira or AWS work best as Connectors. Connector secrets and OAuth tokens are encrypted and never shown to the model at all. The agent only gets the tools.
