Settings Reference

Global Settings apply to the whole server. Workspace Settings apply to one agent. Both can be changed in the web UI or by editing files directly.

Global Settings

Open http://localhost:3456/settings, or edit ~/.agentos/server.json and run agentos server restart.

User Preferences	Your name and desktop notifications
Inference Server Defaults	Default provider and host for new workspaces
AgentOS Server	Port (default `3456`), Auto-start, heartbeat interval, "Listen on all network interfaces", allowed CORS origins
Proxy	HTTP/HTTPS proxy and no-proxy list for outbound requests
Web UI Authentication	Require a username and password to open the web UI
Agent Behavior	Native tool calling, retry on failure, hide reasoning, auto-approve installs, automatic memory compaction and its threshold
AgentOS API Key	The key for the webhook API and agent interfaces
Agent Service Bus	ASB host, credentials and telemetry
Remote Control	Mobile app pairing and per-phone access
Local UI Control	Browser, input and accessibility control
MCP Servers · Connectors	Shared MCP servers and connected accounts
Workspace Groups · Registered Workspaces	Sidebar organization and the workspace list
Server Logs	View logs and send a diagnostics report to support

// NETWORK EXPOSURE "Listen on all network interfaces" makes the web UI and APIs reachable from other devices. Turn on Web UI Authentication and keep your API key secret before you enable it, and never expose AgentOS directly to the internet.

Workspace Settings

Open a workspace, then Settings (/workspaces/:id/settings).
